Slow farming - It matters!

Intensive farming, its bad, really bad - for you!

When looking back now and why Nourishing Hub got started in the first place it can all be related back to the side effects of Intensive Farming.

Intensive farming requires a lot of hormones, pesticides, herbicides and other chemicals to force better crop yields while reducing time to maturity. This forced growth severely stresses the environment and also has a long term negative effect on our health due all the chemicals introduced into our Eco system - drinking water, food we eat and air we breathe.

Slow hydro farming, in direct contrast to intensive farming, focuses on reducing stress on crops (and us) by allowing vegetables (and livestock) to mature naturally, as nature intended.

Nourishing Hub had its origins based around the need to eliminate all hormones, pesticides, herbicides and other contaminants, to grow greens naturally and only harvest when natural maturity has been achieved. The positive impact of eliminating all these unwanted chemicals does not only benefit your health directly and immediately, it also benefits the environment in the long run by eliminating all kinds of contaminants being introduced into the soil and eventually into ground water.

Through extensive research over more than two years Nourishing Hub is in a unique position to deliver quality food to the community while eliminating all of the negative aspects associated with intensive farming as well as being able to grow a successful business.

Nourishing Hub produce is good for you and the environment.

Over the coming weeks several key topics related to slow farming and related benefits will be discussed to make you the consumer aware of the benefits of buying from Nourishing Hub.
